What it is
A weekly club where young people write, and then stand up and say it.
The Creative Club is a poetry club that runs inside a school for a full term. A trained facilitator arrives once a week with the session plan, the prompts and the materials. Pupils write, workshop each other, and build towards performing their own work.
The school provides a room and a staff contact. We provide everything else, and it costs the school nothing.
A school registers
You tell us your year groups, your timetable and the room you can give us. Five minutes, and it commits you to nothing.
We match a facilitator
A trained facilitator near you is paired with your school and a weekly slot is agreed.
The club runs weekly
Around two hours a week across the term. Session plans, prompts and materials all come from us.
The term ends on a stage
Pupils perform what they wrote — to their school, their parents, and at our showcase.

What a term of poetry actually does
Creative writing is one of the few things that improves literacy, confidence and self-expression at the same time.
Writing they choose to do
Nobody marks it. Reluctant writers write the most, because for once there is no wrong answer to get.
Confidence in front of a room
Every term ends with a performance. For many pupils it is the first time they have held an audience.
A finished piece of work
Each club produces an anthology of its pupils’ writing — something they can hold, keep and show at home.
Somewhere to go next
Pupils who want to keep going move on to mentorship, showcases and publishing opportunities.

[PLACEHOLDER — confirm the history and figures before launch.] Punpoets Media has been running since 2020 as a poetry community and mentorship platform: a mentorship programme, a published anthology, recorded spoken word and a stage for poets who had outgrown writing alone.
The Creative Club is where that work goes next. Instead of waiting for young writers to find us, we are taking the mentorship into schools.
